About our establishment
Balranald is the closest town to Mungo National Park from Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, and sits just 6km from Yanga National Park. Set on the Murrumbidgee River, it is a historic riverside town with heritage buildings, wide open landscapes and a gateway to outback adventure.

Yanga National Park
Yanga National Park offers a peaceful escape with rich wetlands, river red gum forests and historic homesteads. Once one of the largest sheep stations in the area, Yanga is now a haven for birdlife, walking trails and Aboriginal heritage. Its lakes, billabongs and riverfront views make it a scenic spot for camping, fishing and photography
Murrumbidgee River
The Murrumbidgee River flows through the heart of Balranald, offering a tranquil setting for fishing, kayaking and riverside walks. Surrounded by native bushland and abundant wildlife, the river is a vital part of the town’s identity and a perfect place to unwind, explore or catch a classic outback sunset.
